The Tools Are There by Levitation Trick

A collection of recent works in progress:

Bryan Noll is a graduate of The New School University’s jazz and contemporary music program, and cites Jane Ira Bloom and Mark Dresser as his most influential instructors. During his last semester at The New School, Bryan was asked to join DROID, a live electronica/drum-n-bass project led by faculty member Amir ziV, also including faculty member Adam Holzman (Miles Davis) and alumnus Jordan McLean (Antibalas).

Since then Bryan has worked with artists including Tiombe Lockhart (PPP), Jamire Williams (Kenny Garrett, Robert Glasper), Kenny “The Human Orchestra” Muhammed and ChinahBlac (Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Dave Matthews), Michael Cain, Jim Black (Dave Douglas, Alasnoaxis), Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle) Corbu, and Shigeto.

TEACHING AND LEARNING

Bryan began teaching guitar and bass full-time in 1997, with 35 students ranging from nine to 40 years of age. Bryan continued to develop his skills over the subsequent years, teaching guitar, bass, improvisation, theory, sound design, and beginner piano.

Bryan’s years of experience working with beginner and intermediate students have given him deep insight into the processes of learning and communication. He can dismantle and reorganize complex bits of information and—through metaphor and example—communicate them in ways that are easy to understand. Most importantly, Bryan understands that having fun is the foundation of successful learning.

Bryan is currently only available for Ableton Live Master Classes & lessons.

Words from students:

I'm sure this goes without being said, but thanks for the influence you had on my life. If I'd have taken lessons from some other people I woulda probably gotten bored with it and quit. Music is my life now... don't know what I'd do without it.
