Caitlin Gray
Caitlin Gray holds a B.F.A. degree from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. During her time at the New School, she studied bass with Andy McKee and Johannes Weidenmueller, as well as with Brazilian guitarist Richard Boukas. She has been teaching music for the past five years, both privately and in workshops, to students of all ages.
Her early musical background began with learning the piano; though she studied classical music in her lessons, she spent much of her time learning her favorite songs by ear, and writing her own music from a young age. She later picked up the electric bass, and went on to study double bass during her time at the New School. Under the tutelage of Andy Mckee, Caitlin studied arco technique and repertoire, and developed her improvisational ideas and rhythm section playing.
Since she moved to New York, she has performed hundreds of times at many venues throughout the city, and has toured nationally and internationally with various projects playing bass, guitar, and keyboards.

I've been looking for a piano teacher for my seven year old daughter for months. I found Brooklyn Music Lessons online and signed up for a meet and greet with Caitlin Gray. It was the perfect match and she loves her instructor. The process of signing up, meeting the instructor and buying lesson time online is easy and efficient. The instructor, Caitlin is professional, and very cool. We are very happy. I highly recommend finding instructors and taking lessons through Brooklyn Music Lessons!!
