TEACHING APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY
I make every effort to provide my students with a variety of different activities to accommodate their diverse learning styles. Some examples include:
- Basic harmony
- Music Theory
- Sight Reading
- Guitar Technique
- Diverse styles (classical, jazz, rock, blues)
- Latin styles (Brazilian, Cuban, Tango, Flamenco)
- Songs and analysis
- Sing-a-long
- Composition
- Improvisation
As a classroom/private instructor, I value individuality and strive to meet the needs of each student. I also recognize the importance of trust and successfully establish relationships with students resulting in a safe and comfortable, yet challenging, learning environment. In addition, I believe one-on-one interaction is essential to students' development as learners.
