Christopher Tordini

Christopher Tordini has become an in-demand bassist in the NYC jazz and creative music scene.  He graduated from the New School University Jazz and Contemporary Music program in 2006, and he has been playing professionally ever since. Christopher is able to quickly adapt to virtually any musical situation, making him a well rounded player who is sought after by many fellow musicians.

Currently Christopher is involved in many various projects. These projects include Andy Milne's Dapp Theory, the Becca Stevens Band, the Ari Hoenig quartet, Logan Richardson's "Shift", and the Jean-Michel Pilc trio/quartet, to name only a few. Christopher's performances are mostly concentrated in NYC, with occasional engagements that take him all over North America and Europe.

TEACHING

Christopher has been teaching private lessons since he was 17 years old. He truly enjoys making connections with students and inspiring them to get deeper into their instruments and music in general. Christopher also has extensive experience teaching small and large groups of people, from middle school age all through college level. He has taught workshops and masterclasses at schools such as the California Institute of the Arts, University of Virginia, Portland State University, University of North Texas, and HSPVA in Houston, TX.
