Let It Go by Nuani

Justin Williams is one of NYC’s upcoming bassists in the Hip-Hop/R&B, Electronic scene. For 6 years, he’s been supporting some today’s hottest acts (Joya Bravo, KalaeAllDay, C. Devone, Mr. Reo) holding down the low end and pushing the groove with every show.

His influences span a wide range of genres to include Bill Evans, Earth Wind & Fire, Anthony Jackson, Tony Grey, Meshell Ndegeocello, Pino Palladino, Herbie Hancock, and many others. Before graduating from The Collective School of Music and receiving the partial Victor Wooten Scholarship, he was trained and received sage advice from the likes of Lincoln Goines, Frank Gravis (Dr. John), Janek Gwizdala (Mike Stern), John Davis (Nerve), Marko Djordjevic (Sveti).

His knowledge as a current working musician makes him an ideal choice as an instructor. Known for not only being knowledgeable, his direct and simple approach to teaching frequently asked issues (Speed, clarity, tone) and other less discussed topics (Gig preparedness, endorsements, auditions) makes him a very versatile instructor. Personable to all ages and skill levels, Justin can help push you to the next level as a musician.

He is currently well known as a bassist, music director, composer and arranger who has earned ample credits ranging from recording sessions, tours and working with bands and ensembles. He’s known for playing a very wide variety of styles and being able to meld to any situation. Renowned for impeccable professionalism and fluidity when it comes to music and bass playing, he takes an amazing amount of humility in what he does and perpetually enrolls in greater endeavors constantly. Justin holds a number of roles as an electric, synth or upright bassist and proudly endorses Warwick Basses.
